1st Brigade provides support to Cadet Command's six Senior Milirtary Colleges which provides high quality education to young men and women in concert with a professional leadership development training program, all within a disciplined enviroment, to prepare, them to acheive their fullest portiental in the US Army and in sciety as a whole.

Norwich University

This school offers the following additional incentives to students taking Army ROTC: - Scholarship winners receive free room and board, as long as the student ROTC scholarship is active.

The Citadel

Army ROTC Scholarship students can also earn the merit-based Armed Forces Scholarship to offset a portion of room and board costs. Out-of-State students receive $3,500 per year room and board enhancement. In-State students receive $950 freshman year and $3,500 sophomore, junior and senior years toward the room and board. South Carolina residents who maintain a 3.0 GPA are eligible for the Life Scholarship. Members of the South Carolina Army National Guard are eligible for state Tuition Assistance up to $1,000 per semester.

University of North Georgia

The ROTC program boasts the largest Army Corps of Cadets outside of the United States Military Academy, but it is embedded in a civilian university, so you get to experience a normal college life as well – it really is the best of both worlds. All out-of-state Cadets pay in-state tuition and if they join the Georgia Army National Guard, they are eligible for in-state Cadet benefits. In-state Cadets can take advantage of the HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships that covers tuition and are eligible for the ROTC Grant of $750 per semester and the Future Officer Grant of $2,000 per semester. Other Leadership Scholarships are also available.

Virginia Tech

Awards 200 Emerging Leader Scholarships annually to incoming cadets. One hundred scholarships (each worth $12,000 over four years) are available for cadets paying out-of-state tuition rates. The other 100 scholarships (each worth $6,000 over four years) are awarded to cadets paying in-state tuition rates.

Texas A&M University

This school offers the following additional incentives to students taking Army ROTC: - Four-year and three-year Advanced Designee scholarship winners are eligible for Sul Ross Scholarships, which pay $500 per semester over four semesters. - CORPS Leadership Award ($8,000 over 4-years) is awarded annually on a competitive basis.

FOUR MILITARY JUNIOR COLLEGES

Joining Army ROTC at a Senior Milirtary College or a Milirtary Junior College has many benifits. The valuable leadership and people skills you need to be successful in life will become second nature after attending one of these historic schools.

You may choose any major your wish and commission as an officer into the Active Duty Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard. Aside from providing superb leadership skills and a job after college, Army ROTC also provides monetary incentives and scholarships.

Georgia Military College

Georgia Military College provides a performance grant which offsets the cost of Room and Board for ROTC Early Commissioning Program Cadets. Army ROTC scholarship recipients receive free room and board at Mercer University.

Valley Forge Military College

Widener University: offers FULL ROOM and BOARD (basic double room and Gold meal plan) to all Army ROTC scholarship winners. - Widener grants academic credit for Military Science courses to include the Nurse Summer Training Program. - Villanova University: 4-year Army ROTC scholarship winners with at least a 3.5 high school GPA and 1300 SAT (CR and Math) may be considered for a $5,000 Room and Board incentive on top of the ROTC Scholarship (limited to 5 per year, must maintain 3.25 gpa to remain eligible) - Villanova University offers a Military Science Minor.
